Making birthdays special.

To make Elliott and Isabel's birthday seperate from the holidays, we've decided to make a tradition of taking them somewhere special in between Christmas (Isabel's birthday) and New Year's Eve (Elliott's birthday).  This year we went to Sioux Falls.  We met Grandpa Galen, Uncle Josh and Aunt Joni at Great Bear and went tubing in the afternoon, (thank you to Grandma Jeanne for watching Isabel in the lodge) and then met up with others that evening at the hotel to go swimming. 

Reid was feeling pretty grown up going down the "big slide," and by the end of the night he was going down himself, thanks to Aunt Lindsay and Rob's encouragement!






Elliott even got up the courage to go down the slide!

                                                           Isabel wasn't as impressed. 

Dale and Jill Jansma and their kids, Dionne and Thane, came from Rock Rapids, IA, to help us celebrate.  It's great seeing the kids grow up together!
